Fully off-grid. Everything runs on Solar Power, including the mini split 12k BTU. The AC can keep you cool during hot summer days and warm throughout the winter. The walls are very well insulated (mineral wool R-15 + reflectix) and double pane windows are throughout the house. The toilet is an incinerating toilet meaning everything turns to ashes when you “flush”. It's great not having to deal with a septic tank and/or black water.
The loft/bedroom has strategically placed windows with panoramic views from bed and even a skylight window right above to stargaze from bed before winding down for the day. All windows, including the skylight have blinds.
All lights are on dimmers (except the bathroom). Hidden built-in LED lights in the ceiling cove and under cabinets can be set to any color/mood. There’s a bunch of usb outlets for easy and convenient charging stations throughout.
