Before I get into telling you about our project, I also have 4 1/2 acres located in Jay New York (10 min from Lake Placid ny) $35,000 for land & $12,500 for tiny house project. 40 foot Container with a custom fabricated roof terrace We purchased this from the (DEA) Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration in Quantico Virginia. This trailer was custom fabricated to be used as a mobile DEA clandestine training facility. The shipping container has been customized with a vinyl wrap to look like an old dilapidated building. All the customization work ( the second floor is welded with galvanized decking and also has been reinforced with beams to hold 24 people on the second floor All of the custom fabrication welding was done by a company called fire training structures, the DEA purchase price for the mobile facility, after the welding fabrication, and The Hyundai intermodal chassis (Trailer) was $89,418.62 These units are fabricated and sold to fire department & law enforcement & military, If you went & bought one of these from them right now, it would cost you $90,000. Some of the custom fabrication work include 3 separate fortified steel doors with removable aluminum stairs and railings and a 320 ft.² 2nd floor terrace made of steel decking & removable aluminum railings there is also an exterior aluminum ladder, The roof section of the original Connex box was engineered to include new steel structural beams. This is one of a kind includes connex and trailer. And all the fabrication work is already done. This could be an awesome tiny house that has a second floor deck with aluminum railings and you can still Haul this down the road legally because the aluminum stairs and railings are removable. I just paid TDI Towing $3800 to bring this back from Virginia and while their driver was in Virginia he decided to put $4000 in new tires and brakes on the trailer so there’s new tires and brakes on the trailer. This trailer is like new.
