Introducing...The Birdhouse Tiny Trailer!
I built and designed this charming, custom tiny trailer in 2018. Here's the story: I've always been intrigued by the nostalgia associated with tear-drop trailers. They're lightweight and look incredible. However, I'm 6'1" and I wanted something a little bit bigger. The challenge: It had to light (under 1600 lbs.), look awesome, and still have enough room for two people to sleep comfortably. Bonus points: it had to fit in my garage for storage during the off season :-)
With those specs in mind, I sat down to the drawing board and (over a period of several months) mapped out a plan for The Birdhouse. The creative process was deeply rewarding and I'm absolutely thrilled with the result.
The interior layout fits an inflatable double mattress with room to spare. As far as headroom goes, you've got a roomy 54" of headspace - just large enough to sit in a camping stool and down-right spacious when sleeping at night ;-)
