Hello, my name is Andrew, and I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my home. This is a one of a kind THOW with a well-planned design that I think you will appreciate. I’ve been in the building industry for most of my life, and when I saw the tiny houses I fell in love with the idea, and of course I had to build one my way.
I started with a custom built, 14,000 Lb rated trailer with electric brakes on both axels. The next step was the floor, walls, and roof, which were all built using Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) out of Texas. The SIPs make this a very tight, well insulated space that is very snug and easy to heat with the Mitsubishi Split System that provides A/C as well as heat. The exterior is finished with stained cedar siding and topped off with a raised seam metal roof. I added a nice storage closet to the front of the trailer for those odds-n-ends you just don’t want inside. I also included attached entry steps that fold up out of the way for travel.
A lot of planning went into the design of this home to maximize every inch of space and still have an amazing look on the outside, and a classy modern feel on the inside with lots of natural lighting. As you can see I wanted to get away from the all wood interiors that are so common in tiny homes, it may be tiny, but I think it should still feel like home. The loft is pretty standard except for the carpeting for comfort, and the built in head board with a shelf on either side. It also has a lid on the top of the head board for more storage space inside. The loft will fit any size mattress up to a king. The Rockwell ladder slides easily out of your way when not in use, and I love the vintage looking cast iron steps. The living room area has a 60” sofa, and on the opposite walls a 43” Samsung Smart TV with plenty of room below for a multi-use cabinet.
