This home was designed and built by high school vocational students from Breathitt Co. Area Technology Center with grant money from KVEC (Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative). This is a self sustaining grant, and proceeds from the sale of this home will be put back into the program for next year's build. All work was done under the supervision of licensed instructors. We have built 19 homes in the last 5 years.
A Whole Lot of Kentucky
As always we pride ourselves in building our tiny houses with Young folk from Eastern Kentucky (Breathitt County), but it does not stop there, We use Kentucky grown and processed materials whenever possible.
• D Log siding and Shiplap siding were processed from Eastern White Pine. Grown, harvested and processed locally.
• Window and door trim and light fixture boxes are recycled from Breathitt County High School’s P.E Gym remodel. Students planed, ripped and fit this beautiful recycled lumber and made it a permanent home in our beautiful tiny house.
• Windows and doors are made in Bowling Green, Kentucky
• Copper colored galva-lume metal roof bent cut and molded in Prestonsburg, Kentucky
• Trailer Frame was purchased locally in Paintsville, Kentucky from P&J Trailer sales.
