Tiny House on a Trailer
320 sq ft
Looking for an affordable solution to your housing needs? A tiny home can be the perfect solution to many needs and desires. We have spent the last 8 months building this beautiful tiny home. I love to create spaces for people to enjoy, and this is my latest creative project. It's been a massive amount of work but we are excited that it's nearly completed and someone will get to live in and enjoy this project for years to come.
The trailer is 24' long with a 1.5' extension on the front and a 1.5' cabinet on the back for utility storage. The height is 13.5' and the width is 8.5'. These are all within the guidelines to travel without a permit on the road. The electrical is 50 amp, but can be reduced to a 30 amp service if you don't have access to a 50 amp plug. This would just mean you couldn't run everything at once and would have to be strategic!
There are 2 lofts, one was intended to be a social living space, and the other be the master bedroom. The bathroom has a tile shower and modern vanity, with the option to use a regular plumbed toilet, or add a composting toilet if you don't plan on having sewer hook ups.
The kitchen houses a W/D combo unit under the counter, a propane stove, and of course a fridge. The fridge is not yet purchased so there is a $1000 credit towards a fridge of your choice. The stove and water are heated with propane which is stored outside in a utility cabinet. There is a heat pump or A/C mini split depending on what you know them as, that heats and cools the tiny home for less than 3 cents/hour. Countertops and stair treads are butcher block. Lighting is all LED.
Currently we are finishing some electrical work, waiting for the counters and sink to be installed, waiting for the flooring to be installed and then a little bit of finishing work on the interior and exterior. If you feel like this is the solution you have been dreaming about, we'd love to hear from you!
