Check out this bus! She belonged to a small non-profit that distributed food in Central Austin. She is semi-retired because though she is capable of starting and running, she needs lighting and some mechanical work to be road ready as she was built for stationary use. Also, unfortunately, she did not come with a title, so if that's a deterrent, your journey ends here as you'll likely need to get a salvaged title if need be. Onto the good stuff!
The Skoolie is currently living on a small farm and was inhabited for 8 months in a brutal Texas summer (she stayed pretty cool in the hot afternoon sun) and is now up for sale! Approximately 190 square feet, the Skoolie comes with a queen sized sleeping platform(with storage!), a small refrigerator (freezer works great!), a cold water sink, kitchen cabinetry, and two closets. Sadly, there is no indoor shower or toilet as both were on the property already, but one of the closets can EASILY be converted, and there is plenty of space to enlarge that area. The Skoolie is insulated with home grade insulation, and has bamboo flooring. She still needs a few projects completed- over the steering wheel needs some insulation and facing, the facing in the same rear compartment over the bed needs finishing and the trim around the flooring for the stairs needs to be installed. There is currently not a heater installed for the sink but I can include a propane one with the sale. The Skoolie would make a GREAT airbnb rental (think of all the ACL dollars you could make!), man cave, she shed, space for your teenagers to be banished to when they get on your last nerve, a place to house your in laws when they come to visit over the holidays (you'd def need to install that bathroom) or the perfect spot to crash for your friends who over serve themselves at your dinner parties. Really, the Skoolie has all that you're looking for, she's an incredible work in progress.
