Up for sale is a beautiful 1953 Spartan Royal Spartanette. It was delivered new in 1953 to a family’s camp and stayed there, used occasionally in the summers until we removed it in 2020. This trailer was truly a time capsule that had seen very few modifications and was in amazing shape for being 68 years old. In terms of the scope of work performed on this trailer in the past year, the goal was to only touch what needed to be and leave the rest as original as possible. Some highlights of the work completed on the warm birch interior is a stunning new Marmoleum floor, new Bosch instant hot water heater along with new water lines and faucets, brand new electric cassette toilet, 30 custom made curtains, and much more. All electrical is in working order, including an electric bathroom heater, bath fan, HVAC fan, fridge, and all lighting, and outlets. The exterior has a 3 stage polish done with newly painted trim, fresh wheels and tires, and a reinforced hitch with a new jack. This trailer is ready to be your vintage guesthouse, vacation home, or Airbnb (we’ve seen similar rent for around $50K/yr) that will bring you back to the early 1950s! With two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a double basin kitchen sink, a working original refrigerator, and built-in storage everywhere, this trailer is spacious enough to be a comfortable getaway.
In order to keep the trailer as close to original as possible, not everything was replaced and it will show its age and use. It is nearly 70 years old and although it underwent a 1.5yr renovation, it is not a perfect show trailer. Items such as the main heater and stove have been cosmetically restored but not tested (no LP), two windows do not open and 2 are cracked, and other more minor cosmetic details which will separate it from the best.
