We love tiny houses in Florida. It's just so hard to find parking for them! So we are developing a tiny house community right here in south-central Florida at Lake Okeechobee. Family owned, growing our Florida tiny house community to promote moral & ethical accountability. Mindful that we live in community, we keep an eye on who is our neighbor. A small park of 21 sites on one & half acres along the waterway surrounding Lake Okeechobee, we're currently a mix of RVs, Mobile Homes & Tiny Houses, but as older units move out, new THOWs are brought in. The lots are generally 'standard' sized, yet they don't feel cramped because of the exploded horseshoe layout. Each has room for a Tiny House, a patio area, & room for your personal vehicle & small shed. Most lots are grassy although we have a few with concrete patio slabs. They are all wired for dedicated 30 or 50 amp service provided by the local utility company. (we don't charge a mark-up) The sites are level & sunny for you solar lovers out there, with a shade tree or two in the park. Monthly lot rent includes: standard water & sewer hook up, lawn maintenance, trash pick up. (2 well pumps filter, chlorinate & soften the water, professionally maintained) You arrange cable/internet.
Simple living in cattle country: no costly facilities to maintain except 2 quaint waterfront gazebos & a few boat slips from which you can cast in a fishing line, watch the Florida wildlife or enjoy a beautiful sunset over the water. We're close to all shopping in town or walk to Dollar General. We do have a dedicated area to develop a community garden so we're looking for someone with a "green thumb" with some tropical green know-how!
