This beautiful tiny house was built in MN in 2015 and is a dream to live in! It has been lived in (by the builder) for a number of years in different Minneapolis yards and is ready to now be your tiny house dream! There are lots of possibilities and minimal re-model work to be done to suit to your needs! Road legal? Yes Minnesota in all 4 seasons? Ya sure you betcha! I used an electric oil radiant space heater in the winter. There are many great electrical/propane solutions. For cooling, the 6 windows offer a lot of cross breeze and there is room for a window air condition unit or a mini-split could easily be installed. Trailer/Foundation: 8’x20’ Tumbleweed trailer (title transferred with sale) – Tumbleweed Tiny House trailers offer a solid foundation for builds and are specifically designed for Tiny Houses. About the build: The design is based on a number of different resources with a lot of careful planning and construction. It is 8’ by 20’ and offers many great features! - Two lofts - Two different roof pitches - Wood construction - 7 total quality Anderson windows (6 windows that open) - A skylight in the bed loft that opens - Hanging closet in the main loft and clothes storage/tote options in the stairs - Bed loft has a built-in box spring - Secret storage in the loft floor Electrical – The house is set up with a 30amp electrical plug, but can also run off of 20 or 15 amps. The electrical was done by a master electrician. 10 outlets and dimmable lights. Water - The water system was a pump and set of 5-gallon water jugs that fed to the sink. A greywater tank was used along with biodegradable soaps and the greywater was returned to the yard in all seasons. A similar solution could easily be set up or a bigger water tank could be stored. Bathroom – I used an easy composting toilet setup. There are a lot of great toilet options so you will want to find the best solution for you and the property you live on.
